Paid Training and Benefits Package

Wilber is looking for a team member dedicated to supporting employees in establishing and maintaining healthy, satisfying and successful work and personal lives. This individual will head the initiative to ensure that all employees are able to work in an organizational culture that is supportive and inclusive by providing them with the necessary tools, training, and support programs that will enable them to achieve balance between their work and personal responsibilities.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree. Most relevant degree areas include public health, health promotion, or health education. Degrees in other fields may be considered with evidence of sufficient university-level coursework and/or professional continuing education in the areas listed above.

Required Skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks
  • Written/oral/interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness and flexibility to gain knowledge of, develop expertise in, and design and implement health promotion programs on a variety of key health issues based on needs assessment results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental principles of organizational development, environmental management, and cultural change
  • Demonstrated skills in gathering, compiling, and synthesizing information to develop health promotion initiatives and educational materials for a diverse group
  • Deliver cost-effective, evidence-informed programs that have a high likelihood of achieving measurable improvements in health behaviors and status and/or enhanced success
  • Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for health promotion programs and services

  • Evidence of ability to provide leadership and problem-solving skills in analyzing health promotion needs of team members
  • Ability to be confidential and handle sensitive team member information

  • Collaborate with faculty, staff and students to address their needs and enable them to take full advantage of programs, services and policies designed to promote a healthy, sustainable work/life integration."
  • Manages and implements work and life program to address corporate culture and employee needs
  • Administers Employee Assistance Programs and communicates work and family programs to employees
  • Assist in development, implementation, and analysis of periodic surveys that 1) provide baseline and follow-up data, 2) identify program needs and priorities, 3) evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, and 4) track trends in student health status and behavior
  • Facilitate individual and group health coaching and motivational interviewing related to substance abuse, harm reduction, physical wellbeing, and personal development
  • Quantitative and qualitative research skills (e.g., research design, survey development, environmental assessment, focus group design and facilitation, data analysis and interpretation, etc.)
